Helping Alzheimer's Sufferers
Coronation Street on ITV1 has recently brought attention to Alzheimer's Disease. Mike Baldwin
(actor Johnny Briggs) highlighted the associated problems that has affected friends, relatives
or someone we know.
Before the series began a singer and keyboard artiste got together to raise money for the cause.
The singer, Colin Lewis, (who incidentally also plays keyboards) saw how his father suffered before dying
with the disease.
He suggested to Ian Griffin that they should make an album together to help the cause. Anyone who would
like to add to the money already raised may like to buy the cassette album for £5+ £1.20 postage and packing.
Cheques for £5 should be made payable to the Alzheimer's Society, enclosing 4 first class
stamps to cover the post and packing. Orders should be sent to: MBA, 3 Rhiwlas, Neath SA10 7RB.
All cheques will be sent directly to the Alzheimer's Society.
Colin Lewis was voted the most popular entertainer on the QE2 cruise ship in September 2000 and Ian Griffin
was nominated for the British Organ-Keyboard Player Award in 2005.
Both artistes have given their services free for the cause.
